Charlie English Spots have the EnEn gene. These Spots do not have enough markings to qualify for show. Charlie spots will be missing any or all of the markings as fallows: full nose butterfly, eye circles, check spots, full ear color, herringbone, and/or side spots. All domestic rabbit breeds with broken markings can have charlie kits. |
Broken English Spots (Aka Marked English Spots) carry both the En and en gene and are the ideal pattern. Modifiers have been bred into the English spots coat in order to achieve this pattern. Despite this, some broken spot kits will be born with mis-markings or breaks in the nose butterfly or herringbone. These mis-marks make the rabbit unshowable. |
